This video discusses what a patient’s day-to-day life can feel like after a deep plane facelift, including how confidence and comfort in social situations may change over time. It also shares an example of a patient who felt more willing to re-engage with holidays and family activities after recovery.

Transcript:

Can you tell us what a person’s daily life feels like after the treatment? What do they go through in a typical day, week, month, that sort of thing?

So basically what happens is, because they regain their confidence in themselves, it makes them more outgoing and it gives them the confidence to go into social situations. For example, I had a patient who, because of significant ageing changes, had lost her confidence, so she felt hesitant going out with her girlfriends. Her group of girlfriends used to go every year to a Spanish villa beachside holiday, but she had started avoiding it because she simply could not face the situation where all the time she was just conscious of the ageing impact on her face.

After having the surgery, months down the line she came back from a holiday, gushing about the good times and feeling so sad that she had to miss the last two years. The whole thing that came from her was, I wish I had done this before, so that I would not have missed these happy social situations.

Over the last couple of years she felt more confident going out with her daughter and other family members. In her marriage, it gave her the confidence in not being self-conscious and doing things without any hesitation.
