Mrinal Supriya speaks about the patient experience after rhinoplasty
Laura Livesey: You’ve had the rhinoplasty now, somebody’s come to you, they’ve gone through the whole process. How do they feel after they have the surgery?
Mrinal Supriya: For most of my patients, it’s almost like a new lease of life because rhinoplasty is one cosmetic surgery where you do not want people to notice your nose.
The ideal nose is something that does not get noticed. It is such an integral part of the rest of your face that it just looks natural.
That is the aim of my rhinoplasty. After a rhinoplasty, most of my patients feel much more confident. They feel that they can face social situations or their professional commitments with much more confidence. And they do not feel that they need to avoid those confrontational or social situations.
For me, a successful rhinoplasty is one which gives you your confidence back in the way that your nose ceases to be the central topic of discussion in your head.
